QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA requis
  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un autre domaine quantitatif.
  • Expérience significative au niveau du contrôle financier - au moins 8+ années dans des fonctions équivalentes en finance ; 5+ années d’expérience dans des fonctions financières de haut niveau (conseil, Big 4, etc.) un grand plus.
  • Très innovant dans la résolution de problèmes, doté de solides compétences interpersonnelles, multitâches, organisationnelles et de planification de projets, et d’une capacité avérée à respecter des délais serrés.
  • Débrouillardise et persévérance : Capable de rechercher des informations, de résoudre des problèmes conceptuels, de mobiliser des ressources et d’obtenir des résultats dans des situations difficiles.
  • Une expérience dans des environnements de démarrage à rythme rapide est préférable - capacité à travailler confortablement sous pression, dans un environnement en constante évolution et dans des délais serrés.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite. Capacité à traiter des problèmes complexes et à présenter des recommandations et des conclusions de manière claire et concise.
  • Excellente maîtrise de Microsoft Excel et PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA Required
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative focus
  • Significant experience at Financial Controller level - at least 8+ years Finance equivalent functions; 5+ years of experience in senior finance roles (Consulting, Big 4, etc.) a big plus
  • Highly innovative problem solver possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, project planning skills, and a demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Resourceful and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • Experience in fast paced, start-up environments is preferred - able to work comfortably under pressure, frequently changing landscape and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

  • Lead global accounting capabilities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury functions
  • Manage monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks, with attention to reporting, and operating expense accruals
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems
  • Produce statutory accounts and manage the audit cycle, as required in accordance with local regulations
  • Ensure timely financial and management reporting to external stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly financial packages for parent company books
  • Have a strong understanding of cash flow statement preparation, revenue recognition, equity compensation transactions & accounting, EPS, and equity financing accounting
  • Lead analysis of technical accounting issues: provide well-supported and documented interpretation of GAAP, identify relevant changes in accounting guidance and monitor processes for compliance with accounting literature

Financial Management & Controls

  • Active management of overhead and support the business in finding cost savings
  • Develop and maintain a best in practice internal control environment focused on establishing and maintaining formal accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure US and local GAAP compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Implement continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of responsibility
  • Monitor business performance and cash flow/projections
  • Support strategic planning through financial planning and analysis responsibilities
  • Manage the travel and expense process and ensure policy compliance

Tax

  • Support the execution and implementation of the company’s global tax strategy
  • Assist in providing tax advisory to mitigate tax risks and exposure
  • Work with the Director at the parent company to ensure all relevant tax deadlines and regulations are satisfied

Relationship Management

  • Maintain a stable relationship with outsourced vendors and monitor trends/variances
  • Lead the relationship with our independent auditors; manage the annual audit and quarterly review process
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high performing, professional team
