Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking a Controller to join our Finance team. Please note, we are open to consider candidates for this role from either Vancouver or Edmonton. We are a dynamic group working in a fast-paced environment looking for someone that is career-focused, and excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.
This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This successful candidate will be an integral part of our continued growth and will play a key role in ensuring that we are meeting the needs of our organization now and in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying and reviewing accounts payable data and expense claim data
  • Process outgoing payments
  • Prepare month end journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly working papers
  • Quarterly and annual bank reporting
  • Produce a variety of month end reports
  • Preparation of reports for insurance
  • Preparation of budgets
  • Preparation of year end working papers and financial statements
  • Preparation of year end corporate and partnership filings
  • Ensure accuracy in reports, figures and postings
  • Interact with management, employees and vendors
  • Assist in developing operational and financial policies and procedures
  • Other accounting-related tasks as required
