Job Description
We are looking for a Controller with experience in corporate finance, planning or controlling environments. As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in accompanying innovative German InsurTech entities on their journey into the financial reporting & control systems of the Verisk Group. If you are passionate about financial planning and have a proven track record of successfully delivering plans and assisting in decision-making, we would love to hear from you.

Tasks:

  • Integration of local accounting & reporting into group reporting
  • Budgeting and Forecasting for operating entity
  • Support the set-up of local internal control process to fulfill SOA requirements
  • Measuring and analyzing financial performance indicators to support the decision-making of local management
  • Support Group Finance ERP roll-out in local legal entities

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Up to 5 years of professional experience in a corporate finance or planning role or controlling environment
  • Analytical skills with finance experience
  • Digital mindset and hands-on approach
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or other analytical tools
  • Ability to explain financial data to a nonfinancial audience
  • Ability to work precisely, and independently as well as ensure targeted communication at the management level
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset
  • ERP process & reporting utilization
  • Willingness to ask for help and leverage the knowledge and experience of others to overcome tough obstacles
  • Collaborative working style in an international environment
  • Ability to travel, 20%

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business, Finance or related financial discipline preferred)
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS)
  • Fluent in German and English (C1) is a must-have
