- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Experience in Budget Processes and Month End Close.
- Experience with Cost Accounting within a Manufacturing Plant environment.
- Expertise in Inventory Accounting.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead and manage a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with executive team and ownership to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation
- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Perform cost accounting and analysis of costing standards
- Participate in inventory planning and oversee accounting and reporting on inventory levels
- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections and payroll
- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Lead and manage HR function including benefits administration, compensation analysis and hiring
- Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction
- Time billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
- Research, prepare and execute process improvement initiatives
