Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Controller based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The workplace is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the individual will play a crucial role in managing financial activities and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Use Accounting Software Systems to analyze financial data, forecast future trends, and prepare financial reports
- Manage and conduct regular auditing activities to ensure financial compliance and transparency
- Handle budget processes, including the planning, tracking, and reporting of all financial aspects
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to make strategic decisions based on financial status and forecasts
- Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters promptly and professionally
- Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions based on account status
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Proven experience in Auditing
- Demonstrated ability in managing Budget Processes
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership abilities with a team-oriented mindset
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
