Description:

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in the retail industry located in Hollister, California. In this role, you will be at the helm of our accounting team, managing financial operations, and ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.
  • Collaborate with the Parent Company’s team to guide financial decisions.
  • Regularly communicate with the CEO of the Parent Company.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Manage activities of external auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee the budget process and manage cash flow.
  • Evaluate current accounting operations, recommend improvements, and implement new processes.
  • Develop and monitor financial performance metrics.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
  • permanent, train, and retain competent accounting staff.

This role requires proficiency in various skills including but not limited to 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes.

  • Proficiency in 3M and ADP - Financial Services
  • Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems
  • Familiarity with CRM and Crystal Reports
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
  • Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes
  • Proven ability to work in a retail industry setting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
