Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in West Des Moines, Iowa. As a Controller, you will be a key player in our industry, responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, and analysis, revenue cycle management, payroll supervision, policy development, and cost analysis. This role is instrumental in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to formulate the financial components of the strategic plan, including long-term financial objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, auditing, tax, accounting, forecasting, insurance, and financial planning activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate the company’s financial position, prepare reports, and recommend strategies to enhance financial performance.
  • Supervise revenue cycle functions, including patient registration, coding, billing, collections, and denials management for optimal revenue generation.
  • Manage the payroll process and oversee employee benefit plans to ensure compliance and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency in operations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards to maintain the integrity of financial operations.
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare invoices, ensuring all submitted invoices are properly approved and supported by necessary documentation.
  • Prepare annual budgets to streamline financial planning and control.
  • Timely preparation of financial and statistical reports for various stakeholders to provide transparent and accurate financial information.
  • Leverage skills in Budget Processes, Month End Close, Cost Analysis, Financial Analysis, and Strategic Planning to drive business objectives.
  • Proficiency in budget processes, including planning, coordinating, and execution
  • Experience in conducting end-of-month close processes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ability to perform cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and improve financial efficiency
  • Strong financial analysis skills to evaluate financial data, trends, and indicators
  • Experience in strategic planning, developing long-term financial strategies and goals
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present financial information and complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee and guide the finance team
  • Knowledge of applicable financial laws, regulations, and standards
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the same industry.
