Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for a Controller to manage and lead their accounting and finance departments. The ideal candidate will come with at least 7 years of supervisory management experience in the Accounting field. They will act as the connecting liaison between ownership and the Finance & Accounting team.

• Provide guidance and supervision to a team of accounting clerks handling Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Prepare and analyze financial statements on a regular basis for informed decision making
• Conduct complex reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Manage the month-end closing process efficiently and accurately
• Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and bank records
• Ensure tax compliance to avoid unnecessary penalties and fines
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations as needed
• Execute payroll operations ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
• Utilize your supervisory and management experience to lead and develop your team.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven track record in Auditing
• Demonstrated expertise in Budget Processes
• Experience with Jonas Club Software is a plus
• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures
• Experience in Supervisory Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar, is preferred.
