Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a Controller in a rapidly growing manufacturing industry. This role will primarily focus on overseeing accounting, IT, and customer fulfillment. The Controller will be responsible for directing all accounting operational functions, managing financial data, preparing reports, and overseeing month-end close. This role also includes cash management and supporting investment efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all accounting operational functions in the company.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal financial statements.
  • Prepare Board of Directors (BOD) reporting and respond to any financial queries from the BOD.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including completion and approval of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Lead year-end and audit work to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee cash management initiatives and support investment efforts with ongoing and new investors.
  • Be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and taking the lead on managing financials.
  • Supervise a team of 4 direct reports and ensure their productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct credit investigations and bank reconciliations to ensure financial stability.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Controllership
  • Hands-on experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Proficiency in General Journal management
  • Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries
  • Expertise in Financial Reporting
  • Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks software
  • Strong skills in Cash Management
  • Knowledge of Alternative Investments procedures
  • Familiarity with Community Reinvestment strategies
  • Experience in conducting Credit Investigations
  • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
