We are in search of a dedicated Controller for our operations in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in ANKENY. This role offers a contract employment opportunity where the selected individual will handle the complexities of co-packer pricing, review changes in ingredient and material pricing, and perform standard Controllership responsibilities.

• Manage co-packer complexities and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Regularly review and analyze changes in ingredient and material pricing to optimize costs.
• Undertake standard Controllership responsibilities, ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning the business and understanding its dynamics.
• Comfortably interact with a small team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Report directly to the owner, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Utilize accounting, inventory, and production systems for efficient operations.
• Effectively use the Pricing system to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
• Execute background in manufacturing/production for improved business operations.
• Use skills in ‘3M’, ‘Accounting Software Systems’, ‘ADP - Financial Services’, ‘CRM’, ‘Crystal Reports’, ‘Accounting Functions’, ‘Accounts Payable (AP)’, ‘Accounts Receivable (AR)’, ‘Auditing’, ‘Budget Processes’ to deliver on job requirements.
• Proficient in 3M and other Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and CRM
• Experience in using Crystal Reports
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within the Food & Food Processing industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA will be an added advantage.
