Description:
Our organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our finance and accounting team as a Controller. The Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making and in driving the financial planning of the company by conducting financial analysis, producing financial reports, implementing and ensuring compliance with accounting systems and routinely handling the company’s financial procedures and processes.
Responsibilities:
Direct, plan, and coordinate the plant’s financial functions
Conduct monthly financial close
Ensure timely preparation of monthly journal entries, particularly those related to inventory
Reconcile all general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly bank inventory reports
Bridge actual results to forecasted and budgeted using company schedules
Support Weekly Operations call with a 3-month outlook on Sales & EBITDA
Maintain adequate payable and receivables systems
Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and current accounting standards
Implement yearly standard cost updates
Evaluate business cases for capital projects
Participate in cost reduction activities and track financial objectives and results
Manage annual audit activities and coordinate with external auditors and tax teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
3 to 5 years in a Controller role in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP
