Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in ATLANTA, Georgia. As a Controller, your primary function will be to manage and oversee accounting functions, maintain and process customer applications, and ensure the company’s financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Utilize Accounting Software Systems to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions based on account status.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records in compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Spearhead auditing processes to verify the accuracy of financial data and adherence to financial regulations and standards.
  • Employ MSFT Dynamics 365 - Financial for document control and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead Budget Processes to ensure financial efficiency and growth.
  • Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure financial procedures are adhered to.
  • Implement strategies to improve financial processes and ensure the financial health of the company.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Solid understanding of Auditing principles
  • Experience in managing Budget Processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry regulations and standards.
