Description:
Greater Waterbury client is in need of a Controller for a 3 month engagement. The Controller will oversee day to day accounting and finance deliverables. The Controller will be responsible for month-end close, reporting, as well as associated budgeting tasks. Netsuite experience preferred.
- Must possess strong skills in Month End Close procedures.
- Proficient in preparing and maintaining Journal Entries.
- Demonstrated expertise in Account Reconciliation.
- Experience with the NetSuite accounting software is essential.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
- Ability to work with legal and financial professionals on detailed financial matters.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
- A proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
