Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a great company in search of a dynamic Controller to be a part of our team located in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the accounting department managers to supervise the monthly closing process and financial statement production
  • Enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in the accounting department by organizing personnel structure, workflow, and processes
  • Conduct periodic review and specific issue analysis with each accounting department manager to achieve plans, provide feedback, and suggest improvements
  • Ensure the execution of the monthly closing process and financial statement production, including review of internal controls and implementation of root cause analysis
  • Staff the accounting department with trained and educated personnel, as appropriate for each position
  • Work independently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with tight turnaround deadlines
  • Exhibit self-motivation, intelligence, and strong work ethic
  • Analyze and propose solutions to problems, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project, and dynamic environment
  • Show absolute drive to complete projects on time and in a detailed manner

Skills

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Familiarity with accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Understanding of Auditing and Budget Processes
  • Knowledge of Accounting operations, Accounting Principles, and Accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Accrual Accounting and Acquisitions
  • Ability to handle Adjusting Journal Entries
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role
  • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Familiar with ERP Solutions and their implementation
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Knowledge and experience in Auditing
  • Ability to manage and oversee Budget Processes
  • Experience in overseeing Accounting operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in Accrual Accounting
  • Experience in handling Acquisitions
  • Ability to prepare and adjust Journal Entries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, advanced degree is a plus
  • Strong leadership, decision making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
