Description:
Overview: Our client, a rapidly growing SEC registrant, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Controller to join their dynamic team. This newly created role is critical to their expanding infrastructure and will play a pivotal role in their financial operations and global consolidation processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active CPA license is required.
10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industry experience.
Preference for candidates with prior experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm.
Expertise in IFRS, strong US GAAP, consolidations, and FASB research.
Proven track record of managing large teams and complex financial operations.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
Ability to reside in the Greater Houston market.
Some international travel is required.

Responsibilities:
Lead the global consolidation and close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and strong US GAAP standards.
Conduct FASB research to stay current with accounting standards and apply them effectively within the organization.
Oversee operational accounting activities, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting.
Manage a team of 4 direct reports and up to 90 indirect reports, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
Prepare and deliver financial presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, demonstrating strong presentation and communication skills.
Collaborate with international teams and manage financial activities across various regions.
Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and internal controls.
Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and business growth.
