We are looking for a proficient Controller to join our team in SAN JOSE, California. The Controller will be responsible for leading all day-to-day finance operations and supervising a small team. This role will oversee project costing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory, and budgeting. The Controller will work closely with the operations team to develop and implement strategies across the organization.

• Lead the daily operations of the finance department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial management.
• Supervise a small team, fostering a cooperative work environment and encouraging professional development.
• Oversee project costing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement effective financial strategies to support organizational objectives.
• Prepare and monitor the company’s budget, financial forecasting, and various financial statements, such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking of construction projects.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and expenditures, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Manage relationships with external entities such as banks, insurers, and auditors.
• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Budget Processes is mandatory
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is required
• Must have prior experience in Staff Management
• Knowledge and experience in using Infor software is essential
• Experience in Month-end Close Activities is a must
• Should possess excellent communication and leadership skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
• Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
