Description:
Law Firm Controller (hybrid remote)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The Controller is responsible for managing the ongoing financial operations of our established and growing law firm. This position offers the potential to become an integral member of a successful firm with rewarding professional development and personal growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities and reporting for the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Oversee day to day transactional accounting including AP, AR, Month-End, Financial Reporting, Reconciliations and payments.
Oversees and executes financial systems: billing, trust account management, bookkeeping, expense management, audits, and taxes.
Coordinate and oversee the firm’s payroll processes, including compliance with tax regulations and benefit administration.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain financial integrity.
Collects records of expenses of costs advanced to clients and updates the case management system and accounting system accordingly.
Manage banking relationships and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
Daily monitoring of Bank Account balance, Credit Card Accounts, Deposit accounts, and Trusts accounts.
Manage annual application and renewals of insurance policies.
Work in coordination with firm CPA for finalizing all quarterly and year end reports for tax preparation.
Manage vendor relationships and renewals of office equipment contracts.
