We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit Clerk based in Warren, Michigan. The individual will be part of our Controller team, working in the telecom provider industry. This role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain precise customer credit records
• Handle and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner
• Monitor customer credit accounts for any irregularities
• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for credit processing and record keeping
• Perform Accounting Functions related to credit processing
• Participate in Auditing processes as they relate to customer credit accounts
• Assist in Budget Processes where they intersect with credit operations
• Handle Month End Close for customer credit accounts
• Prepare Journal Entries related to customer credit accounts
• Use Human Resources Management System for relevant credit processing tasks
• Must have a strong understanding and proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated expertise in managing all Accounting Functions
• Proven experience in Auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Skilled in Budget Processes and financial forecasting
• Capable of handling Month End Close procedures efficiently
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Human Resources Management System and its integration with financial operations
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with various departments
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to provide strategic financial direction
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
• Proven leadership skills and experience in a managerial role
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
