We are seeking a Controller for our team based in FULTON, Michigan. This role is instrumental in overseeing the financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The Controller will manage the finance team, drive operational efficiencies, and ensure financial integrity within the plant. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and extensive financial reporting expertise.

• Oversee the financial operations within the manufacturing plant
• Manage the finance team, ensuring a high level of performance and productivity
• Conduct financial reporting, providing accurate and timely financial information
• Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability
• Partner with plant management to drive operational efficiencies and optimize performance
• Ensure financial integrity within the plant through regular audits and checks
• Utilize skills in Cost Accounting to maintain accurate financial records
• Leverage expertise in Financial Reporting to communicate financial status and trends
• Implement effective Cash Management strategies to optimize financial resources
• Continuously improve plant operations through financial acumen and strategic decision-making.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position.
• Demonstrated expertise in Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Cash Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree and/or relevant professional certifications such as CPA are preferred.
• Proven experience in managing financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other key accounting principles.
• Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Proven ability to implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
