Robert Half’s trusted client is seeking a Plant Controller for a long-term engagement. This critical role oversees financial aspects of our flagship division, ensuring smooth month-end activities, budgeting, and costing. This hybrid role is located in Saginaw Michigan and will report directly to the Director of Accounting.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET:

• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proven experience in Auditing and managing Budget Processes
• Exceptional skills in managing financial data and compliance regulations
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to manage a team effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.

• Oversee all financials for the flagship division, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Manage all month-end activities, including the preparation of financial presentations
• Handle all aspects of budgeting, from initial planning to final implementation
• Oversee costing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Respond to inquiries regarding inventory movement, providing clear and concise information
• Review expenses on a daily and weekly basis as they flow through the general ledger
• Monitor expenses as they move through the general ledger, identifying any discrepancies or issues
• Provide overall oversight of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
• Utilize various software systems, including 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports, to efficiently manage accounting functions
• Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in all accounting functions
• Participate in budget processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
