Job Description:
This role is a 1-year contract position.

Controller, Special Projects Accountabilities
- Manage the Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations process based on the department’s requirements.
- Develop and implement a standardized account reconciliation template and process including frequency, approvals, and escalations.
- Manage the Month End Close Process Project to facilitate process improvement and efficiencies while maintaining internal controls.
- Ad hoc request as required.
Controller, Special Projects Knowledge and Skills
- University degree in Accounting/Business
- CPA designation.
- 5+ years of management experience in an accounting department.
- Proven track record to document and drive process improvements and efficiencies
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team on projects and initiatives.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of accountants.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving process improvements
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controls
- Retail experience
- Experience working in a large organization with many legal entities.
