Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Controls and governance analyst to join us. You will monitor and report on related reconciliations and wider controls within Customer Payroll, ensuring they’re managed to the agreed tolerances and adhere to the agreed deadlines, as well as L&Gs consumer duty policies. You will also be accountable for delivering the KPI dashboard, reporting on the health of our related accounts, Payroll accuracy and controls. Ensuring we are operating resilient, effective controls on the service we provide. You will work closely with the CS Governance, Risk and Compliance team and with leads across the CS function to reduce risk and ensure accuracy, timely payments and reporting for the annuitant payrolls, in order to deliver good customer outcomes at all times.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring the agreed reconciliation KPI are being adhered too, working with the wider team to ensure regular reporting is established. Ensuring the dashboard is regularly circulated for Payroll leadership and wider leadership / committee packs
- Supporting payroll & reconciliation managers with control attestations (evidence and documentation), keeping a record of any control failures, risk events and issues to ensue accuracy in the controls and drive on future mitigations
- Supporting the shaping, development and continuous improvement of controls frameworks across our core processes and systems. Assisting seniors with testing of design, implementation and operational effectiveness of internal controls within customer payroll
- Co-ordinating the creation of all reconciliation and operational process guides, ensuring clear and up to date documentation. Managing EUC’s and coordinate regular reviews with criticality assessments
- Ensuring reporting on outstanding reconciliations is completed in a timely basis in order for retail annuities to determine the level of exposure on outstanding items for balance sheet management. Includes managing, escalating key risks and delivering controls, in line with the risk management framework and regulations, to minimise the impact on retail annuities
- Consumer Duty- Ensuring that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensuring that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
- Supporting colleagues and be an advocate for risk culture best practice, sharing knowledge and guidance
- Supporting the ongoing work relating to our overall operational resilience and assist seniors in incident management, project work activity which relates to the risk, governance and compliance elements within customer Payroll
