- You will be based onsite at our Leesport, PA facility Monday through Thursday with the option to work remotely on Friday
- Occasional travel to our Nj R&D facility for boat testing
- You’ll report to the Gyro Development Engineering Manager, also based in PA
Responsibilities:
When the world says it can’t be done, our engineers say watch this. Our Controls Development Engineers play a pivotal role in developing, testing, and implementing the electronic controls systems for Seakeeper products. You’ll contribute to our software development and work with our custom tools that include embedded hardware, Simulink-based auto code generation IDE (SeaCoder), and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) infrastructure to develop cutting-edge controls systems. You’ll make an immediate impact on our product development by:
- Designing and implementing control logic in MATLAB and Simulink to meet high-level functional requirements and perform your own data analysis
- Being the first line of defense in testing control algorithms both on custom simulation equipment from our factory in Leesport, PA, as well as on test boats on the water
- Analyzing data collected during testing in MATLAB and Simulink and making data-driven conclusions to suggest next steps and go-to-market plans
- Supporting and refining the software release process for the Seakeeper product lineup
- Participating in software development items on Seakeeper’s custom tools (embedded hardware, Simulink-based auto code generation IDE (SeaCoder) and HIL) to contribute to the systems controls.
- Supporting hydraulic system development, including component specification, testing, vendor technical management and integration in control system
- Supporting FMEA and software functional safety discussions
