JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial processes and machinery. Your role will involve analyzing system requirements, designing control strategies, programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and commissioning systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers from different disciplines to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of control systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in controls engineering, proficiency in PLC programming, and a passion for automation and efficiency improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrument Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in controls engineering or related field.
• Experienced in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell and Schneider Electric, including Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, SIMATIC S7, Experion, and Wonderware.) and HMI development.
• Skilled in instrumentation and electrical control.
• Familiar with Cyber Security requirements.
• Experienced in Control Panel design, EPlan, and AutoCAD.
• Results-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively convey technical issues and solutions.
• Independent, highly disciplined, and an excellent team player.
• Knowledge of industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive work ethic, capable of problem-solving and decision-making under pressure, reliable and flexible.Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial environments.

• Designing and implementing control systems for industrial processes and machinery as well as developing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
• Analyzing system requirements and developing control strategies.
• Carry out technical, hands-on tasks such as installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure timely FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) completion.
• Programming PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor processes.
• Conducting tests and commissioning control systems to ensure functionality.
• Identify machine faults and troubleshoot customer equipment, providing proposals for corrective and preventive actions to enhance equipment uptime.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to control systems.
• Documenting designs, specifications, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
• Prepare on-site reports, service reports, hour reports, expense reports, and other related documents as well as regularly follow up on open issues lists.
