Description:

WLS Solicitors were established 8 years ago from a small office in Malvern and have expanded into 4 other offices now covering Worcestershire, Berkshire, London and Norfolk.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor based in our Edgware office within our Conveyancing Department. The Conveyancing Department enjoys a high volume and variety of instructions from clients and business throughout England and Wales.
No day is the same in our Conveyancing Department and we are looking for someone who is proactive, strives to work in a fast-paced environment and is not afraid of a being an integral part of the business. Previous experience working as a fee earner in a Conveyancing Department is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Corresponding with clients via telephone, email and letters in a polite and timely manner
  • Corresponding with third parties via telephone, email and letters in a polite and timely manner
  • Meeting with clients and providing advice
  • Overseeing ongoing Conveyancing matter and assisting with file management
  • Working with other Conveyancers and Secretaries to ensure the progression of matters
  • Managing and prioritising own workload
  • Meeting required deadlines
  • Reviewing instructions and title registers
  • Reviewing documents provided by clients and third parties
  • Producing and amending the relevant documents
  • Complying with AML Regulations and completing ID checks
  • Submitting documents to the Land Registry
  • Dealing with requisitions when raised
  • Assisting with the training and support of junior members of staff
  • Raising invoices for work carried out
  • Establishing relationships with third parties and helping the business grow
