Description:
Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our Royal Standard kitchen team with the possibility of a day or two at our associated Greek BBQ takeaway, COAL, located minutes away and also on the seafront. The successful candidates will be required to prepare delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Hours are guaranteed over the winter for the suitable applicant/s.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes
-Experience with grilling meats, mainly for the BBQ Takeaway but necessary at the restaurant kitchen too. - Ensure food safety standards are maintained throughout the cooking process
- Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen area
Experience
Proven experience as a cook/chef or similar role in a restaurant or takeaway setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Certification in food safety is advantageous but not essential
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
