Description:
- Collaborate with the chef in the selection and procurement of ingredients.
- Engage in discussions with the restaurant manager and chef regarding menu planning and development.
- Stay abreast of market trends, comprehend evolving tastes and customer preferences, ensuring our dishes align with public demands.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist patrons with special dietary requirements and cater to their needs.
- Contribute to the hiring and training processes for new kitchen staff.
- Adhere to storage guidelines for ingredients.
- Prepare, season, and plate food.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using kitchen equipment and regulating equipment temperatures.
- Any other duties required by the manager and chefs.
About you:
- At least three years of relevant experience or
- Relevant NZQF level 2 or 3 qualification
- Physically fit with a clear criminal record
