Description:
COOK REQUIRED FOR SENIORS’ LIVING FACILITY
If you are looking for a position in a dependable field with one of the most dynamic employers in Southern Alberta, keep reading.
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in cooking who has a flexible, willing, and positive attitude. The right applicant will have provincial certification in food safety and hygiene and standard first aid certification. A current satisfactory criminal record check is required. Journeyman Cook certification is considered an asset.
About the position:
- This is a temporary Part-Time position.
- The position offers an average of 22.5 hours per week over a 6-week cycle, but more shifts may be offered based on availability.
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Shifts to cover in this position are: 6am to 2pm, 8am to 12pm, 10:30am to 2pm, and/or 10:30am to 6:30pm.
- After 6 months of employment, cost sharing benefits are offered with this position.
Basic Responsibilities of the position include:
- Prepping and cooking for 50+ people per meal
- Following the established menu plan
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen.
- Ordering food and kitchen inventory.
- Liaising with residents by assisting with serving
- Cleanup in the dining room as required.
