Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Human Resources, this position is responsible for delivering HR services to the site which includes assisting in recruitment when required, coordinating team member requests and changes, onboarding and training, as well as providing administrative and general HR support. The Coordinator, Human Resources ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of HR or administrative support experience
- Post-secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience
- CPHR or other HR Designation an asset
- Able to exceed expectations through timely, effective and service- oriented communication
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and think on your feet
- Computer literacy in MS Office; HRIS experience an asset
- Able to obtain a gaming worker registration with Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch
Responsibilities:
- Assists the full-cycle recruitment process when required, including, screening resumes, conducting phone-screens, scheduling interviews, and coordinating reference and background checks
- Maintains team member records and files, including collecting and processing paperwork for new hires, transfers, promotions and separations
- Enters and maintains respective site HRIS duties; new team member entries, current team member changes, compliance tracking and running reports
- Administers team member benefits registration
- Conducts Orientation sessions, including site tours
- Generates regular reports to monitor and ensure regulatory requirements are met
- Responds to employment verification requests
- Prepares internal correspondence and communications when requested
- Coordinates and assists with the Great Canadians recognition program
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Other duties as assigned
