Description:
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinates and leads communication and execution of sourcing plan with category management teams, as well as communication with us and china global sourcing teams, to include trip planning
- Manage vendor onboarding (legal documents, packaging, etc.); provides guideness to vendors to accurately fill out documents
- Manage landed cost model to compare and execute new programs; lead training of the landed cost model, and provide guidance to other teammates, merch team, and vendors
- Strategic thinking and problem solving to develop timelines, track progress, and determine new ways to capitalize on cost savings; prepare and develop product and vendor proposals that are fully vetted out and executable to the merch teams
- Key contact for identifying new opportunities, and execute requests for proposals and requests for quote; maintain database of qualified suppliers by product type and country
- Research on central and south america autoparts markets and suppliers
- Lead the management global sourcing kpi tracking reporting (including pitt crew) for all category teams
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: BUSINESS, LOGISTICS, SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, AND/OR ENGBusiness, Logistics, Supply chain management, and/or Engineering
Years of Experience: Three to five years.
Type of Experience: Experience Sourcing, Merchandising and/or procurement and/or automotive parts industry and/or autozone.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: EXCELLENT SPANISH AND ENGLISH VERBAL&WRITTEN SKILLS, PROFICIENT MICROSOFT OFFICE; ORGANIZATION AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS
Other/Preferred: PORTUGUESE AND MANDARIN LANGUAGE SKILLS A PLUS; NEGOTIATION SKILLS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Responsibilities:
Leads the global sourcing processses from opportunity identification to execution for the global sourcing team and with the merch teams. Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with global sourcing team members in Mexico, us, and china, as well as merchandising, supply chain, and other supporting functions, and central and south America suppliers to execute autozone’s sourcing strategies. Leads the global sourcing team initiatives to execute direct import program for Mexico stores, and near sourcing opportunities for us and Mexico stores from central and South America by developing timelines, tracking progress, and determining new ways to capitalize on cost savings. Analyze cost savings through landed cost model, and provides guidance to global sourcing team, merch teams, and vendors to accurately complete and analyze cost savings.
