QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 5 to 7 years hospital based experience preferred; prior facility /professional registration experience preferred
- HS Diploma/GED
- High level of interpersonal, customer service skills required
- Ability to multitask, coordinate onsite and offsite registration, knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and requirements
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
- Shifts Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
- Full-Time, Days
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately performs all registration functions. (customer service, document collection/retention, registration, lobby, scheduling and clearance systems)
- Assist the Supervisor with oversight of the offsite registration and non-Patient Access service areas
- Assists the department with staff training and new hire orientation
- Assists with projects and roll out of processes
- Coordinates workflow with Patient Financial Services and Centralized Clearance/Scheduling office
- Courteously handles all problems and complaints/concerns, as it pertain to patients, staff and other hospital departments
- Ensures, proper clearance of accounts, productivity, POS cash, reports, clearance system alerts and re-educates/ coaches staff as necessary, with guidance from the Management team
- Identify areas for improvement and work with the Supervisor for re-education or update processes as needed
- Maintain and order supplies for the department
- Makes recommendations as to ongoing performance evaluation of processes and employees
- Monitoring of key performance indicators, reports, etc. to ensure high performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Works with departments to insure clearance and follow up on accounts. Cancellations, reschedules and account integrity, etc.
