QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 5 to 7 years hospital based experience preferred; prior facility /professional registration experience preferred
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • High level of interpersonal, customer service skills required
  • Ability to multitask, coordinate onsite and offsite registration, knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and requirements

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shifts Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
  • Full-Time, Days

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Accurately performs all registration functions. (customer service, document collection/retention, registration, lobby, scheduling and clearance systems)
  • Assist the Supervisor with oversight of the offsite registration and non-Patient Access service areas
  • Assists the department with staff training and new hire orientation
  • Assists with projects and roll out of processes
  • Coordinates workflow with Patient Financial Services and Centralized Clearance/Scheduling office
  • Courteously handles all problems and complaints/concerns, as it pertain to patients, staff and other hospital departments
  • Ensures, proper clearance of accounts, productivity, POS cash, reports, clearance system alerts and re-educates/ coaches staff as necessary, with guidance from the Management team
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with the Supervisor for re-education or update processes as needed
  • Maintain and order supplies for the department
  • Makes recommendations as to ongoing performance evaluation of processes and employees
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators, reports, etc. to ensure high performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Works with departments to insure clearance and follow up on accounts. Cancellations, reschedules and account integrity, etc.
