Reports To: Manager, Athlete Services
Anticipated Start Date: January 2, 2025

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or undergraduate degree in Food & Beverage, Tourism & Hospitality, Event or Sport Management, Business or Project Management or a related field;
- Minimum three (3) years of related work experience or a combined equivalent of education, volunteer and work experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work collaboratively with both staff and volunteers, with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work collaboratively with a focus on attention to detail and communication of expectations;
- Experience working with CAD drawings would be an asset;
- Experience, writing, revising and managing RFPs, manuals and other types of documents;
- Creative, results-oriented, able to deliver on deadlines and deliverables
- Experience with Google’s G Suite programs (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Slides, Forms and Calendar, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience working in a not-for-profit, events, or multi-sport Games environment
- Ability to liaise and interact with multiple partners, locally, provincially and nationally.

Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Games Village Entertainment and Services;
- Overseeing the Entertainment Representative and Services & Requirements Representative;
- Sourcing, overseeing, scheduling, and executing entertainment;
- Focusing on participant assistant and service animal processes and needs as required;
- Planning and executing amenities in the Athlete Village (i.e., information desk, Village Operations Centre, kiosks, water filling stations, etc);
- Overseeing the waste management process in conjunction with the Coordinator, Sustainability;
- Ensuring all other areas of the village are staffed and properly set up, including the information centre, lounges, storage, etc.;
- Managing aspects relating to access control, security, and safety within the Village;
- Scheduling and executing commissioning and decommissioning;
- Creating and maintaining the Athlete’s Handbook;
- Assisting in the screening and interviewing process of high-risk volunteers;
- Overseeing the training, scheduling, and execution of Games Time volunteers, including identifying any additional needs as planning progresses;
- Assisting the Manager, Athlete Experience with procurement and RFP processes;
- Coordinating with Fit-Out as needed;
- Working with interdependencies and addressing any logistical issues;
- Being a fully engaged team member with a goal of positive and healthy relationships in the workplace
- Executing all responsibilities in a manner which is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games, and;
- Fulfilling all other duties as reasonably required.
