Positions Supervised: Student Ambassador, Student Employee; Lead Ambassador, Student Employee
Job Summary
The campus experience coordinator is responsible for coordinating all individual family tours, group tours, and campus event tours. This position also manages Lindenwood’s Student Ambassador program to include scheduling weekly hours, assigning prospective student and family tours, completing office tasks, as well as providing onboarding and continuous training opportunities for the Ambassador program.

Job Responsibilities and Execution

  • Serves as the face of the University for new visitors and plays a critical role in creating the first impression for new students and their families
  • Provides excellent customer service for all guests and visitors to Spellmann Center and the Lindenwood University community
  • Warmly welcomes and accommodates both planned and unplanned visitors to Spellmann Center
  • Manages day-to-day work of the Student Ambassador program
  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of the University’s campus visit experience for prospective students and families, including working with all departments and academic colleges to schedule individual and group tour activities Monday through Saturday
  • Schedules prospective students’ meetings with Admissions staff and Student Financial Services (SFS); facilitates appointments with academic resources; organizes other campus meetings as requested
  • Coordinates with colleagues to ensure adequate tour staffing for recruitment events and tours when needed
  • Maintains appropriate supply inventory utilized for campus visits
  • Collects, organizes, and composes campus visit correspondence
  • Creates daily visit schedules for office staff and student ambassadors
  • Coordinates and manages usage of University fleet and golf carts
  • Produces and formats reports related to the University’s campus visit program, enrollment yield, and year-over-year analysis

Service Excellence

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Ensures content and quality of campus tours exceed student and family expectations and industry standards
  • Works with University employees to coach student ambassadors on best responses to prospective students’ questions

Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration

  • Answers phones, responds to email, forwards messages, and confirms appointments for prospective students and group tours
  • Relays pertinent information or process updates to student ambassadors
  • Collaborates with admissions communication specialist to create/deliver digital and print tour communications
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies

Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Prior relevant work experience preferred
