Responsibilities:
- Call actual and prospective beneficiaries of the Mobile Food Bank Program to assess their food needs, process their “Verification of Eligibility” forms and complete registration; provide referrals to local food programs as applicable.
- Research and provide up to date information on Toronto food supports as required; navigate multiple websites and software applications.
- Add notes on the interaction with beneficiary, including raising potential protection concerns, to CIMS and inform MFB Supervisor.
- Provide basic psychosocial support and protection actions as part of the role within the MFB Team. These may include support and referrals to beneficiaries, assist in complex cases through consultation with MFB Supervisor and on occasion with the Quality Assurance and Risk Team.
- Complete and maintain reports as per CRC standards using applicable systems and tools.
- Follows established procedures with accurate attention to detail.
- Plan and deliver internal briefing and meetings as requested.
- Participate in internal and external program stakeholder meetings and communicate regularly with various stakeholders.
- Represent and promote Mobile Food Bank Program in a variety of contexts with a diverse range of audiences
- Promote program initiatives and development of the client base within Community Care sector.
- Engaging with community partners to enhance program planning and implementation.
- Gather data to prepare reports for the purpose of evaluating program and referral process success.
