Description:
This position supports the Schools of Nursing, Kinesiology, Counseling and Rehabilitative Sciences and Allied Health in the College of Health & Human Services. This position will work with healthcare facilities to initiate clinical contracts for the placement of students prior to their clinical rotations.
The Clinical Compliance & Contracts Coordinator will also be responsible for tracking students’ progress in completing all clinical compliance requirements prior to beginning their clinical rotations, including monitoring immunizations, drug tests, and background checks. This position will directly support the MSN program.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate with healthcare facilities (via e-mail, phone, fax, mail, etc.) for academic programs to develop and sustain clinical agreements
Utilize clinical compliance tracking systems (SentryMD, Pre-Check, Medatrax) to monitor student compliance before and during clinical rotations for specific programs within the College of Health & Human Services
Maintain and track the clinical contract agreements including but not limited to; updating, organizing, and renewing contracts regularly or when necessary
Work with the NKU Department of Legal Affairs during clinical agreement process to ensure university compliance
Communicate with students during compliance and contract process and notify them of any issues or concerns
Work with external vendor to obtain COIs (Certificates of Liability Insurance) for students and send to clinical facilities, when requested
Complete any special projects and perform other duties or tasks as needed
QualificationsBasic Skills with Microsoft Office suite (excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to stick to tight deadlines and prioritize duties
- Capability to prioritize/organize multiple tasks and work streams simultaneously
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including with leadership throughout the college and university
- Self-starter, with ability to consistently follow through on commitments to their successful completion
Represent college in a professional manner at all times (via phone calls, emails, in-person, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality of student academic and health records
Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Education Minimum Experience 1 year Salary $20.67 hr minimum Pay Grade S6
