Job Description:
The priority purpose of this position is to understand, explain, and apply established guidelines for clinical placement compliance tracking, as it pertains to student and faculty safety checks, health clearances, evidence of training, and clinical onboarding. Additionally, this position will evaluate the department’s compliance-tracking guidelines and work with the assistant director to ensure the compliance-tracking process is clear and understandable for students and faculty. . Under the Assistant Director’s guidance and direction, this position provides cross-coverage support for clinical onboarding, clinical placement; and provides effective assistance in administrative support to the Assistant Director and Director of Clinical Placements.
Work Location: Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles).

Position Hourly Rate: $19.50
Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong working knowledge of an office environment including, but not limited to, typing, operation of various office machines (e.g. desktop and laptop computer, 10-key calculator, copier, FAX)
  • Excellent working knowledge of software applications (i.e. MS Office, Excel, Publisher, clinical compliance platform or similar software)

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands and explains the requirements for compliance tracking (safety checks, health clearances, and evidence of training)
  • Applies guidelines of clinical placement compliance tracking to all nursing department students and faculty accounts
  • Develops and maintain data management systems to effectively track and update compliance status
  • Participates in preparing and presenting compliance tracking system training sessions to students and faculty
  • Provides individual student and faculty support as needed
  • Develops template resources for students’ frequently asked questions and compliance and renewal-related correspondence.
  • Collaborates with clinical placement leadership to identify and implement optimization strategies for both internal and commercial compliance tracking processes and systems
  • Develop and communicates timelines to ensure that students and faculty meet full compliance requirements
  • Collaborates with clinical placement and program leadership to trouble-shoot incomplete and expired accounts
  • Maintains confidentiality related to all student and faculty compliance information
  • Reports flagged results to clinical placement and program leadership
  • Runs compliance tracking system reports and provide regular updates to clinical placement leadership
  • Cross-trains to clinical onboarding processes. Understand, explain, gather, submit, and monitor student and faculty clinical paperwork/trainings required by clinical sites for all nursing program practicum groups
  • Communicates with clinical agencies with regards to student and faculty paperwork, training, and expectations
  • Collaborates with program administrative teams during weekly meetings to ensure students and faculty meet compliance deadlines
  • Assists in the daily operations of the Clinical Placement office
  • Assists with the establishment of systems to streamline office flow via use of the computer software systems, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets
  • Assists with data collection and reports related to requests for auditing information from clinical partners
  • Assists the dean and directors in the preparation of accreditation and regulatory materials, and in the accreditation and approval processes
