PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Community Engagement Coordinator is a crucial part of Respect Life Denver and supports daily operations to advance and communicate the ministry’s impact across both the Spanish and English-speaking community. Collaborate with parishes, engage with clients and tell the story of Respect Life Denver within the wider Catholic Charities organization to grow community relationships and drive impact. As a member of the marketing, volunteer and parish engagement team at Catholic Charities, this position will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in fostering understanding about our work, promoting a culture of life and improving relationships across the Archdiocese of Denver within and outside of the Hispanic community.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with special community outreach/projects and participate in staff trainings and programs as required.
  • Uphold Catholic Charities’ values and Code of Ethics, treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
  • Utilize creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and agency information and participate in community committees and agencies as a program representative.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to learn new digital platforms such as Canva, Flocknote, and MailChimp.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Catholic Social Teachings and ability to apply them to motivate others to action.
  • Understanding of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population and ability to interact effectively with a diverse client base.
