Responsibilities:
HOW WILL THIS ROLE SUPPORT OUR TEAM?
The Coordinator, Compliance provides policy and administrative support to assist the College in fulfilling its compliance obligations, with a focus on the Access to Information Act, the Privacy Act (access to information and privacy [ATIP]) and the Library and Archives of Canada Act.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
- Support the College in meeting its legislative compliance obligations.
- Coordinate requests for information submitted under the Acts in compliance with ATIP legislation, regulations, and Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) policies and guidelines.
- Provide coordination support to the Specialist, Policy Compliance (e.g., maintain ATIP mailbox, update ATIP request tracker, conduct research, draft ATIP statistical and annual reports, coordinate the reporting process).
- Conduct privacy reviews of third-party contracts/agreements to ensure controls are in place to comply with legislative privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with the Specialist, Policy Compliance to coordinate and complete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) as required.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to coordinate travel and hospitality expense submissions to Open Government in compliance with Part II of the Access to Information Act.
- Assist the Specialist, Policy Compliance with the coordination activities related to the development, planning, implementation and training for compliance-related legislation, regulations, directives and guidelines.
