Description:

Interior Health is looking for an experienced Coordinator, Corporate Systems to join our team on a full time permanent basis out of our Kelowna location. This position has a flexible work location from within the Interior Health Region.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years recent, related experience in an information systems technical environment; healthcare information systems environment preferred.
  • Experience in Business Systems Analysis, such as support of business applications and their customers is an asset.
  • Or an equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education.

  • Expert-level knowledge in Microsoft SharePoint, M365 and MS Teams.
  • General knowledge of current healthcare issues and health information standards.
  • Flexible, adaptable to change, innovative, and responsive to clients’ needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between Corporate Systems and partners (both external and internal) for information gathering, task tracking and progress monitoring; ensuring that issues are effectively managed and resolved or escalated, in order to provide the best, most seamless services to customers.
  • Facilitates open communication and discussion with key business partners capturing and disseminating future directions both to interested partners as well as Corporate System resources.
  • Develops Communication and Change Management plans for Corporate Systems on projects and initiatives impacting data and related services.
  • Acts as service request process owner for Corporate Systems ensuring that service management processes are being performed as agreed to. Measures response to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of service against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Works closely with Corporate Systems units to prepare executive level reports, presentations, project status reports, quality-related targets and education that supports initiatives focused on system and data quality improvements.
  • Tracks Corporate Systems spending associated with expenses incurred by cloud-based data hosting initiatives.
  • Develops a cross-portfolio education and development plan for Corporate Systems staff, leveraging opportunities available from vendors and third-parties to advance and develop team analytics capabilities.
  • Supports the onboarding process of the new staff, arranging access, equipment, education and an overview of data and resources available.
  • Aligns and integrates quality improvement efforts with Corporate Systems resources, programs, and networks.
  • Coordinating and leading project teams, conducting planning sessions, assigning tasks to team members, monitoring completion of tasks and quality of deliverables.
  • Reviewing and monitoring daily tasks and communication, as well as creating reports and updates.
  • Working closely with project team members to gather information about current project status.
  • Collaborating with Corporate System team members in supporting the implementation of system changes and providing Customer support related to project implementation processes and requirements.
  • Maintaining documentation, Microsoft Team workspaces, and SharePoint sites.
  • Developing collaborative tools and templates, ensuring Corporate Systems maintains uniform and consistent processes and methodologies.
  • Gathering and organizing human resources and payroll information as part of system development.
  • Overseeing the general administration needs of operational work, projects, and programs to support overall governance and effective performance management.
  • In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
