Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a focus on digital storytelling and social media engagement;
- Post-secondary education, preferably in marketing/communications, or equivalent experience;
- Experienced in social media copywriting and content design using tools such as Canva;
- Hands-on experience with social media platforms and their analytic tools (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Hootsuite);
- Experience in shooting and editing mobile photos and videos is an asset;
- Experience with email marketing platforms (preferably Constant Contact) and SEO are an asset;
- Highly collaborative with strong judgment in assessing and responding to direct external requests;
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to streamline and standardize communications written by a variety of contributors;
- Analytical mindset: able to pull and interpret data with deep curiosity, and draw conclusions and insights;
- Excellent organizational, project and time management skills, including handling multiple, concurrent and diverse tasks;
- Ability to work independently, and on a team, and successfully meet goals and objectives;
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and mobile photo/video editing apps are an asset;
- French language skills are an asset;
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.

- Ensuring maximum reach and engagement on Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s social media channels.
- Managing the social media accounts for Gutsy Walk, the organization’s premiere community fundraising event that raises over $2.2 million across the country each year.
- Inspiring others to support our cause through producing digital content that is clear and compelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and publish digital content that resonates with key audiences in English and French (photos, graphics, videos).
- Employ creative tactics to tell critical and carefully crafted stories.
- Ensure content reflects the voice of the organization and adheres to brand guidelines across all social media platforms.
- Maintain the social media calendar to ensure seamless integration with other channels.
- Responsible for the intake of all social media requests from across the organization, ensuring a smooth workflow and flawless execution.
- Identify and build relationships with brand advocates and relevant influencers to amplify brand reach.
- Social listening: identify opportunities for the organization to participate in online conversations to build support for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
- Collaborate to align social media efforts with overall marketing and organizational goals.
- Provide reporting on key metrics and insights to internal and external stakeholders to inform future strategies and campaign planning.
- Make recommendations for operational efficiency and to maximize social media engagement based on historical data and best practice.
- Strive for continuous improvement by staying up to date on social media marketing trends and best practice (especially in the healthcare nonprofit vertical).
