ABOUT YOUR TEAM:

The team is led by the SVP of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement. This team works closely with the Inclusion Council, comprised of DRC Board members and appointed designees. The DRCs DEI efforts are focused on four areas: Diversity in leadership; Education & Workforce; Community Investment in Under Championed Areas; and Public Safety.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

As the Coordinator of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement, youll work directly with the team to ensure DEI and Community Engagement are represented in the DRCs program of work.

WHAT YOULL DO:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to perform each essential responsibility, including but not limited to, these duties:

DEI DUTIES

  • Assist in facilitating training for internal staff, member companies, and Board members.
  • Research and write monthly blog posts about relevant DEI celebrations and recognitions.
  • Work with the internal staff DEI Committee on various projects.
  • Help prepare mid-year and annual DICE progress reports.
  • Update and submit monthly board reports.
  • Review and update DEI leaders to increase engagement with the DEI Leaders Connect group.
  • Maintain team calendar and work with DRC events team
  • Review and update the membership of the Inclusion Council and the DEI Leaders Connect group in the CRM database monthly.
  • Input data and maintain the CRM database for the department to ensure information about DRC members and constituents is accurate.

Assist in supporting the Leadership Programs team with incorporating DEI topics into the curriculum and identifying speakers.

  • Update list of non-profit partnerships and community engagement outreach in CRM monthly.
  • Coordinate tours, information sessions, and virtual meetings for groups.
  • Organize group service projects for DRC staff and member organizations
  • Assist with end of year reporting from non-profit partners.
  • Track data and report success stories for all areas of work. Help prepare regular updates on impact for leadership.
  • Assist with outreach to underrepresented communities and community stakeholders.
  • Assist in supporting the Leadership Programs and Education and Workforce teams with incorporating Community Engagement topics into programming and identifying speakers.

OTHER DRC DUTIES

  • Receive packages, newspapers, and envelopes for the department and for others when appropriate.
  • Provide administrative and special project support, including but not limited to greeting and directing visitors to meeting rooms, serving shifts answering emails in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for administrative and project-related matters.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to members and constituents in person and through email.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
