EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Post-secondary BSc degree in accounting or business or equivalent; AND
- Completion of a Chartered Professional Accounting designation:
- CPA, CA (Chartered Accountant); or
- CPA, CGA (Certified General Accountant); or
- CPA, CMA (Certified Management Accountant); AND
- Minimum 5 years’ progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
- Experience using current financial software.
- Experience working in a unionized public sector environment is an asset.
DETAILS
- Work schedule: Line 1 – Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Schedule is subject to change based on operational requirements.
- Evening and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities:
This unionized role provides leadership and supervision to finance team members. This position reports to and is accountable to the Assistant Director, Finance. The Coordinator, Finance acts as a Controller for the organization and is responsible for management and oversight of the accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions and systems to advise and support strategic decision-making, financial sustainability, and efficient delivery of financial services. This position is responsible for processing and reconciling financial transactions including journal entries, donations, expenditures, and taxes according to established policies and procedures.
