JOB DESCRIPTION

ECO Canada is looking for a performance-driven individual to join the Professional Services team.
Reporting to the Director, Professional Services, the successful candidate will support the execution of ECO Canada’s BEAHR (Building Environmental Aboriginal Human Resources) program, while supporting the development and management of new projects and programs.
This is an entry-level role perfect for someone with a business mindset who is comfortable working independently and excited about developing new ideas. The position will provide the chance to gain a variety of experiences through different tasks and responsibilities.
While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, we take a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to develop and take ownership of his/her ideas and to see them through from concept development to completion, collaborating with key stakeholders as required. This role presents a unique opportunity to work in various areas, including program coordination, stakeholder engagement, project management, proposal writing, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Graduate of a post-secondary program. Background in Environmental Science/Studies program, business administration, Indigenous relations or similar will be an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a coordinator role.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in working with Indigenous Peoples, including programming and community engagement will be an asset.
  • Must be willing to travel, including visits to Indigenous Communities, as required.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a three-month probationary period upon start date.
ECO Canada offers the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the Calgary office and the option to work remotely for the remaining 2 days).
If you feel you are the perfect fit for this position and are looking to join a company culture that is fun, flexible, and defined by our collective drive for success, please apply now through our website. Upload your resume and cover letter as one PDF file. Applicants who do not include a cover letter will not be considered.
We thank all applicants; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. No phone calls, please.
ECO Canada is dedicated to recruiting and retaining employees from diverse backgrounds. By recognizing and valuing a diverse workforce, we are committed to hiring practices that are fair and equitable. ECO Canada will always seek to hire the most qualified candidate for a position based on character, competency, compatibility, and commitment.
