Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: Researches and analyzes the international royalty payments, data collection, and communication relating to performances of BMI’s repertoire internationally. Collaborates with multiple departments to gather royalty payments and performance data. Works with foreign collective licensing organizations to investigate, resolve, and answer questions relating to performances of BMI’s repertoire internationally.
LOCATION: New York, NY office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 3 years administrative, research, international, and/or royalty experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; Access and PowerPoint a plus.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Highest level of confidentiality.
  • Experience working with database systems and reports.
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and comprehension.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good Organization skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse employee population, and with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to conduct research using a variety of sources including internal databases, the Internet and third-party resources.
  • Ability to work independently and with good judgment.
  • Must have strong analytical and good mathematical skills.
  • Foreign languages are preferred.
