AIR INUIT – HYDRO QUÉBEC DIVISION CORPORATE PROFILE

Air Inuit - Hydro Quebec division provides essential scheduled and emergency air transportation services on Quebec territory, 365 days a year.
The Hydro Quebec division operates a fleet of 4 Dash8s (Two Dash8-300 and two Q400s) in a very demanding flight environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a valid AME license & have held such license for a minimum of 6 years.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience with Dash8 maintenance operations;
  • College degree in Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent;
  • Managerial experience overseeing maintenance supervision.
  • Strong team leadership skills in a dynamic high tempo environment
  • Complete understanding of the maintenance requirements for the aeronautical products under their control;
  • Experience in risk assessment is a considerable asset;
  • Good knowledge of CARs (604) as well as Safety Management System requirements as required by Transport Canada;
  • Good knowledge of the Office Suite in order to produce reports and statistics;
  • The knowledge of the Win Air Mtce Program is an asset;
  • The ability to communicate (oral and written) in French and English is essential;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers;
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of air operation;
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and professional attitude;
  • Must obtain a CIZR issued by ‘’Aéroports de Montréal’’.
  • Have not been convicted for any conviction under section 7.3 of the Aeronautics Act.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and plan all maintenance activities per the maintenance program forecast;
  • Coordinate the dispatching of aircraft in regard to defects and availability of spare parts;
  • Coordinate with Operations to schedule aircraft for maintenance;
  • Ensure that maintenance is accomplished in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner;
  • Liaison with Approved Maintenance Organizations when maintenance work is contracted to outside agencies;
  • Organize availability of parts and material;
  • In collaboration with the Planning Department, coordinate long-term forecast, and SB implementation;
  • Monitor all DMI defects for proper authorization and rectification within an acceptable time frame;
  • Monitor material in quarantine;
  • Ensure that all equipment and tooling are available to personnel to accomplish the maintenance in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Evaluate and request aircraft spare parts and aircraft shop and ground support equipment;
  • Monitor the maintenance activities and shops to ensure that correct materials and maintenance practices are being employed;
  • Schedule personnel to achieve maximum performance and monitor their performance;
  • Ensure the security and tidiness of equipment, including the upkeep of the facilities, technical library, shops, and surroundings;
  • Participate in personnel evaluations;
  • Ensure availability of the aircraft for the Hydro-Quebec schedule;
  • Special assignments as dictated by the DOM.
