Job Summary:
Manage, oversee, coordinate, and develop Athletic Department purchasing processes. Communicating with departments on policies and procedures regarding requisitions, processing and payments. This position is in a high volume, fast pace environment which requires accuracy, discretionary decision making, and the ability to work independent of others.
Travel is required in performance of this position: Athletic events and department functions out-of-state, in-state, and local; As directed by the Assistant Athletic Director to represent Athletics in an Administrative capacity concerning fiscal operations in his/her absence; As required Normal work schedule 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. in addition to hours as needed to accomplish tasks, athletic events, and special events.
Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent’s salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Must be able to sit for extended periods at personal computer.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Position Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School/GED
Six years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, purchasing, athletics, or related field.
Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience (1 year of education: 1 year of experience).
Ability to interpret, understand, and implement various policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to major responsibilities.
Ability to communicate with others.
Organizational skills.
Proficiency with Personal Computers and the following software: Microsoft Office Applications.
Must be able to sit for extended periods at personal computer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
NCAA Division I Athletics, MIP accounting, Works, OKCorral System and Banner Finance
Professional procurement certificate
