Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator, Outreach is responsible for fostering and managing relationships with external partners, marketing the department’s programs, events and research, and promoting community engagement. The Coordinator develops and implements outreach strategies, organizes events, creates promotional materials, and encourages student enrollment. The Coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, and industry stakeholders to enhance the department’s visibility and reputation, ensuring alignment with the university’s mission and goals. Key duties include relationship building, event planning, communication, resource development, and continuous improvement of outreach initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience in a post-secondary institution, or similar organization.
  • Knowledge of marketing including social media-based campaigns and outreach events.
  • Knowledge and experience in agriculture production preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including website writing, editing and marketing and promotions.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work creatively and effectively as a member of a team.
  • Proven success in developing and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Event planning experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of editing and maintaining website content.
