QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Doctoral Degree or Master s Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE accredited school
Preferred:
- 2 years supervisory experience
- 3-5 years clinical experience

Responsibilities:
- Develop/implement Policies and Procedures that guide/support services
- Determine staff qualifications and competence
- Continuously assess/improve department performance
- Maintain appropriate Quality Control programs
- Participate in orientation continuing education of Department staff
- Participate in selection of outside services
- Ensure the department operations are effective and efficient
- Hold staff accountable for their responsibilities
- Ensures the responsibilities for administrative and clinical direction are defined in writing
- Ensure coordination of care, treatment, and services
- Ensure that all areas providing patient/client care are directed by qualified professionals with appropriate training and experience
- Provides direct patient care as necessary
- Serves as a resource to staff for clinical issues
- Conflict resolution
- Responds to patient, physician complaints in acute care and reports results to the department director
- Directly Supervises on a daily basis: Acute Care Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Rehabilitation Aides
- In the absence of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, assumes overall department responsibilities
- Performs other supervision duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation Services
- Demonstrates compliance with findings from QI program findings
- Participates in in-services and training activities as indicated Patient Education
- Provides input into improving the operations of the department
- Provides input into improving the quality of care provided
- Assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the formulation of the yearly department budget
