QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Certificate in Medical Office Administration or equivalent Health Care related field required
  • Health Information Management Diploma preferred
  • Certification in good standing with the Canadian Health Information Management Association an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex hospital environment required, HIM preferred
  • Previous experience in a leadership role e.g., Coordinator role, preferred
  • Experience managing projects and initiatives aligned with strategic directions
  • Experience with Green Belt (Lean Process Improvement) an asset
  • Previous involvement developing, implementing & monitoring a data quality program/QA reports an asset
  • Experience with hospital information services e.g., Cerner and Tele-tracking systems an asset
