QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) strongly preferred
Preferred:
- A minimum of 5 years hospital experience preferred
Essential Functions:
- Conducts issue resolution in conjunction with internal departments.
- Communicates in real time shortages of medications or changes in medication stock availability.
- Assists Pharmacy Director and Clinical Manager on all product substitutions when backorders occur during the normal procurement process.
- Maintenance, testing, and training of 340B tracking software.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate inventory levels of drugs/supplies. Makes decisions in purchasing while complying with budget limitations, and achieving a maximum inventory turnover rate.
- Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory through optimal purchasing practices.
