QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) strongly preferred

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 5 years hospital experience preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts issue resolution in conjunction with internal departments.
  • Communicates in real time shortages of medications or changes in medication stock availability.
  • Assists Pharmacy Director and Clinical Manager on all product substitutions when backorders occur during the normal procurement process.
  • Maintenance, testing, and training of 340B tracking software.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate inventory levels of drugs/supplies. Makes decisions in purchasing while complying with budget limitations, and achieving a maximum inventory turnover rate.
  • Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory through optimal purchasing practices.
